Cosmetic surgery abroad

Looking for recommendations.
I recently returned from a short break in Turkey. On the plane home, I met a few people who had travelled there to have dentistry work done and it got me thinking about cosmetic surgery abroad. Breast enlargement.
It is something I have thought about for a long time and not a new idea. To be honest, it was the high prices that always put me off. So when these people told me how cheap the work on their teeth was, started to consider going overseas for surgery.
Of course the one thing putting me off is if anything goes wrong, which I know can happen no matter where you are. But there are so many horror stories about botched jobs abroad.
I am looking for recommendations from people who have had surgery abroad, because I'm really struggling to find definitive reviews.
Thanks

Research Breast Implant Illness before you do anything.1

Personally I wouldn’t risk it but I know a woman who has had surgery twice in Poland. She said it was brilliant, scrupulously clean, a third of the price she was quoted here. After so many days post op she came home and had to email photos every day to the surgeon so he could see how she was healing. She had no problems on either occasion. First time was for removal of skin from tummy and thighs due to massive weight loss. Second time she went for excess skin removal on arms. She says after being treated in the hospital there she would never use a UK hospital again. She’s braver than me!0

The 2 replies so far illustrate a fundamental problem with breast implants. Removal of skin and fat is fine as long as it heals well. Putting 2 bags of bathroom sealant in your chest is a totally different scenario. Why do women want it in the first place? I searched out a female plastic surgeon for an honest answer. "Because men like them". It's totally wrong. Look up the research. If you ask men the perfect cup size is B or C. UK average is 36DD. Rich men prefer small breasts. Men preferring large breasts were poorer and had sexist tendencies. Breasts are made of fat. If you exercise and have a healthy diet you are unlikely to have large breasts. The only women I have met wanting breast implants were young, healthy and incredibly beautiful. It doesn't matter which surgeon or which country it's just a bad operation. Please don't do it.2

You don't get research from the website of a lingerie company. I know journalists that make that sort of stuff up. You can tell because there is no name on the whole of the article. People want to write something for their website. Just make it up. "Perhaps unsurprisingly" indicates that the writer has their own agenda. If you search the internet it is normally female writers who say that men like large breasts.0

Whatever the reason for it - as long as you don’t expect the NHS to pick up the tab for any future complications/change of mind2

Research lack of regulation for cosmetic surgery. Even if you got a recommendation online, you wouldn't know if it was genuine.0
