What's the cheapest way to watch F1?

I've become disconnected from F1, with its shift to subscription viewing, but I would quite like to be able to watch it this season.
I've got Sky, but Sky Sports is £20/month, which prices it at something like £10/race (assuming 2 races per month) and an 18-month contract, which is too much IMHO (I'd probably value it at £10/month).
Of course, I can watch the highlights programmes on C4, but they're often on late in the evening and I know the result already, so they're no good.
Otherwise, I might just give it a miss again this year and just watch what I happen to pick up on.
I wonder if Sky will do any deals...?

Excellent report, Alpha_5! Thank you.
My solution - very much individual and probably difficult for most - is to find a European TV channel on the Astra or Eurobird satellites. Our choice is Swiss TV, whose main channels are scrambled, A decoder and subscription card are required - see what I mean about difficult? - and available to Swiss citizens only - see what I mean ...
In the past, I have watched on (German) RTL Television. I don't know whether the signal is scrambled or not these days.
On both of these, the commentary is in German. Unfortunately, the TV streaming is 20-30 seconds behind Radio 5 Live, so a live English commentary is difficult.
The US offer in Alpha E5's report looks interesting. How do I sign up with VPN and credit card?
