Rang and reported 6th February said an engineer would come to it on Friday 28th February. We said that wasn't good enough so they said an engineer will call Friday 21st February. Engineer came it was the power cable but they didn't have any in stock and would have to order and would ring when was in stock to arrange an appointment. Heard nothing so rang again Monday 2nd March to be told and engineer would come Friday 6th March ..Nothing been without a fridge over a Month now with a family of 6 adults that isn't good enough ?

Not quite sure what your actual question is.Who did you contact, the mail order company of Hisense?0

Is none of the six adults able to replace a power cable? Or to find someone who can, if that's literally the only thing needing to be done? Not saying you should have to do it but it may be the easiest way of sorting the problem.

Now that the manufacturer or retailer are aware of the issue, the OP or another person replacing the cable could well invalidate their warranty.davidmcn said:Is none of the six adults able to replace a power cable? Look on freecycle, ebay or similar and get a cheap or even free fridge to tide you over. Daft to go over a month without a fridge when any one of those six adults could spend probably £50 or much less on a stop-gap.0

I'd rather have a working fridge and worry about the small risk that an invalid warranty poses.shaun_from_Africa said:
