A chargeback won't work as the maximum time for this is 120 days and you're well over this.
Another reason is that for any type of claim involving a breach of contract or a breach of your statutory rights, after this amount of time you may be required to prove that the fault is due to a manufacturing defect before you have any chance of getting anything back.
As the toilet has been fine for a year, it's very unlikely that it was damaged from manufacture and any damage could have happened since then.

It came with 10 year guarantee plus our last toilet lasted over 15 years. We have not damaged the toilet there is fine crack in the porcelain running the length of bowl on the underside0

Only thing you can practically do is buy a new toilet. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Is the toilet placed very close to a radiator or pipes running to one?
It would very unlikely for a toilet that had been fitted for a year to spontaneously crack unless there was something acting on it.
One possibility is that when it was fitted, the mounting holes where it bolts to the floor or wall weren't quite lined up and this put the toilet under a bit of stress and it's finally decided to give way.
Was the 10 year guarantee with Soak or with the manufacturer?1
