I want to send a couple of photos in an email and thought I could copy and paste them (just learnt how to do this) but when I click 'paste' nothing comes up. Is this not the way to do it and if so can anyone please guide me in the right direction? Thanks.

What format are you sending the emails in? To check, start a new email and go to "Format" (at the top). Either "HTML", "Rich Text" or "Plain Text" will be selected. For the pictures to work, you need it to be in HTML, so select that.

You need to add them as attachments, have a look for a paper clip symbol, click on it, then locate you photos to attach them
Do the viewer a favour though, do not send them huge 1Mb + photos, they will not thank you and some e-mail /ISPs will block them

You don't have to send them as attachments but check the file size of these photographs before sending them, otherwise they may not be received if they are too large. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

If you want to have them in the email message rather than as an attachment you can click on insert and then browse and select the picture you want in your message.Old enough to know better, too young to care!0

Badger-Lady, I don't know what format the email's in but I can't see a 'Format' to check.
Farway, There isn't a paperclip symbol but there's an 'Attach Files', is that the same?
Farway and espresso, How do I know the size of the photos and how to resize if necessary?
Pinklady, I was originally thinking of just putting them in the email as you suggested but hey guess what? I can't find 'insert' except insert addresses and insert emoticon.
Any other help will be gratefully received but please don't get technical.:)0 -

"Attach files" is the one you need, you will attach the photo [it will have a .jpg suffix]
Resize, if you have XP, then use Explorer to locate your photo, in left pane tou will see a File & Folder tasks, select E-mail this file, and that will wizard you through it, incliding opening your mail clientEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

You really should click Start, Help & Support and learn more about using your computer!
If you right click on one of your pictures in windows explore, Send To, Mail Recipient. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
