Sky Bill Date change

I changed my payment date last month and noticed I've been charged an additional £17 which Sky billing department say is normal and will not be refunded. I havn't paid any less in any month.

Am I the only one who thinks this is ludicrous? Or is this normal practice?

You pay for Sky services 1 month in advance so changing the payment date will mean Sky will adjust the amount owed to them.
Can you check your future bills for your account and it should go back to what you were paying before the date change.

Yes the following bills are the usaul. But Februarys had gone up due to me changing my payment date?!

Is this amount not repaid or adjusted for the following bills?

That's normal.  It tells you that when you go to change the billing date.

It just says "it could be higher next month". I know it goes back to my usaul bill next month etc, but does this in effect mean I pay more in total over the contract lifecycle for changung payment dates? Or is there something im missing which evens it out at the end?

All you're doing is changing the date the debit goes out.  That's it.

If you'd read the first page on the screen when you go to change your date, it says "Your next bill may be higher or lower due to changing your payment due date".  So you pick a date, it is higher because the date for the next bill would be later in the month, so the extra payment will cover the days in question.

    Simple as.
