Onetel set up their 1571 service on my CPS line a few weeks ago and to be fair it took less than 24 hours from 1st request. It worked fine for a few days but recently when someone 'phones there is the 7 rings then they receive a "number is not listed" message ???!!!! If I try to access 1571 from my 'phone - the same message.
Now here's the real whinge about their non UK service? centre.
1. I asked if it were possible for subscriber to switch off 1571 service i.e. dial a number to achieve this. Reply "you will need to call BT and they will help you"??
2. Told them about the fault and requested the service is removed from my line. Reply "we have reported a fault and the relevant team will contact you" That's not what I requested!
Does anyone know of a contact number for Onetel in the UK without having to go through the foreign call centre? I wish to speak to someone who I can understand and knows what they and I are talking about!

I have been waiting since 24th April to get 1571. Last time I spoke to them 2 weeks ago they assured me that they will sort this out.
I had smilar fault, I was told in April that an engineer would be looking into the problem, still no good, not a thing.

I had a nightmare recently trying to get a problem sorted out by Onetel customer services. After 2 emails sent and 3 phone calls I felt my dog Cyril had more idea of what was going on than customer services.
I did a search through these forums and found the email address for the managing director. Within 2 days I had two calls and the problem was sorted. The first call was from the MDs office and the second call was from a head of department. So it seems to my surprise that my email was read and acted on.
This is worth a try. The email address is.

I sent that ignorant man an email twice several weeks ago never replied once nor any acknowledgement either, a waste of time is Ontel customer service. I got to stage now that I couldn't careless, I am when a little better, going to look for another provider. I am writing to them to complain, most likely be ignored along with the other complaints. 10 weeks of no 1571, yet Telco Global who I was with before owned by Ontel I had no problems with them in the 2 years I was with them.
