groming tomatoes indoors

I'm not having a lot of success with houseplants at the moment and have recently killed offf an apidistra. :o I have however managed to grow some tomatoes outside for the past 2 years - 1 year outside and one year in a small plastic greenhouse. I have quite a bit of space in the bathroom and was wondering whether to try growing some tomatoes indoors this would potentially give me some earlier tomatoes to the outside ones which I intend to grow as usual. Does anyone have any suggestions please of suitable small bush type tomatoes that maybe wouldn't need tying on wires and I could grow in pots. All suggestions appreciated. The more delicious the better.
Any other easy things to grow inside that are edible would also be appreciated. I have a decent sized garden, its clay soil - I'm in the process oof tyring to improve the soil and getting some raised beds in but progress is slow and it is full of hungry slugs so a few things indoors might help.

There are some that are suitable for a smallish pot in bright window. One I grow, but in conservatory wall baskets so sort of indoors is Balcony Yellow [there is also a red one]. Lovely sweet and decorative. and heritage variety so you can save your own seeds, as I do, for next year if you wish
Also "cut & come again" salad leaves would be fine for window sills

Many thanks for the suggestion. That looks like just the sort of thing I was looking for. I will give them a go. I think the salad leaves are worth a try too - hopefully I can beat the slugs to them then.
