Flybe - claim from travel insurance or credit card?

Good morning everyone,
I have travel insurance with scheduled airline failure (no excess) and paid for my tickets on my credit card so I am unsure as to which one takes priority when submitting a claim. Any suggestions as to which one I should claim from?

Insurers will normally only payout if you cannot get a refund from the card issuer. So start there, (providing you weren't booking for a group of unrelated people who paid you to make a group booking when card companies argue the rest of the group didn't pay by card) the card issuer should cover you. Scheduled airline failure cover is one of the hardest to make a successful claim for, so use it as a last resort, not the first port of call0

Booked directly with Flybe with my TSB credit card, received appalling service over the last 5 days from TSB credit card disputes culminating in a formal complaint this afternoon. TSB had point blank refused to do a charge back or assist me under section 75 because I had travel insurance. Axa travel insurance have been very helpful but asked me to make a claim with my card provider first, I could off cried being passed from pillar to post. At the end of my call to the TSB complaints team , after 2 hours on the phone being told they still won't assit I was finally advised they would request a charge back for me after all!. Maybe TSBs' stance is to decline until the customer complains. Anybody else found this with their bank?0
