Today the keeper received another letter, this time for DCBL and they're wanting £170.
They have no chance, ignore and research abuse of process.
The PPC is the company to send a SAR not DCBL. You could have found this by using a search engine or reading the newbies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
You do realise the claimant and therefore DCBL have 72 months to send letters and issue a court claim ?
As Umkomaas says , a court claim will probably follow in a few weeks or months , so do a SAR to the PPC DPO if not done already ( C P Plus / Nexus )3 -
Thanks guys. I was supposed to send an SAR back after my opening post but due to the current events it stopped being a priority.
I can confirm I've sent an SAR a this time to GroupNexus on the email I found on their site as they seem to handle these things on behalf of CP Plus.
I'll update how things go. Will be keeping an eye out for any court claim letters. I wasn't aware they had 72 months no, blimey. This is all new to me. I've read through the newbie thread many times but it is a lot to digest, I'm sure you guys can appreciate so I have a general jist of what's going on, particularly the earlier parts, POPLA, etc but I'm aware i'm past that now.

The time to issue a court claim in the civil courts in England and Wales has been 6 years since 1973 , so not news but ancient history , lol. Hence why I said 72 months because your assumption was ill advised1

LOOK ... CST are simply leeches who attempt to attach themselves to a scam. CST are trying to copy those who keep failing ... you know BWLegal and Gladstones and worse of all, ELMS LEGAL who are in cahoots with VCS/EXCEL boys .....wolfycat786 said:Thanks guys. From here on in, you must stay on top of this. We are all coping with the virus, but it cannot be any reason for inaction. We've been hard at it dealing with, literally, thousands of new cases, since the day the term 'COVID-19' was first uttered. In this game, snooze and you most definitely lose! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Received a response in response to the SAR asking to verify the identity of the registered keeper, passport, utility bill, and confirmation from the DVLA of the the registered keeper of the car.
Since the time of the incident, the car has been sold so how would one gain evidence of that?
They've also attached a form to be filled in asking questions like:
Location of incident, if I was the driver at the time of the incident, etc.
I can upload images if it helps.
Anything to be aware of before submitting? Cheers.0 -
Do not admit to being the driver. Do NOT append your passport. You do not need to fill in any of their forms. You only need to prove who you are. If you don't have the V5C anymore, a scan of the PCN plus a copy of a utility or Council Tax bill should suffice. If they still refuse to play ball complain to the ICO.4
