Divorce, financial advice please

I am after some advice please.
My husband and I are about to start divorce proceedings. It’s is pretty amicable, we want it done as soon as possible and have decided we will not split any assets. Instead we wish to go for a clean break order once we have the decree absolute. so my question is- Do we still have to apply for a financial order if we are not splitting any assets? We definitely want the clean break order so that neither of us can claim from the other in the future.. can we apply for that if we haven’t got a financial order in place?
I’ve tried researching this myself but everything always seems to come back to splitting assets.. we don’t want to split anything! I’m hoping there will be someone on here who has been in a similar situation Who can help me out.

Sorry this doesn't make sense. Unless the two of you literally own nothing you'll always be splitting assets.
I assume you mean you're both keeping what you each consider to be yours? Is one partner losing out financially or does the split mean you'll both end up with the same? If the split is uneven you'll need to seek legal advice. Although an individual can sign away their rights a judge will want to see they've received proper legal advice before doing so.
I can't help but feel you're getting the better deal here but I'll wait and see what you say. 😛1 -
He is now living with another woman and is financially secure. My mum and dad bought my house for us and it is still in their name. Neither me or my ex put anything towards the mortgage. He left me for another woman and left me with a lot of debt. I think he feels very guilty about that plus the fact that he is now in a very good position financially so he isn’t asking for anything and I certainly don’t want anything from him.We just want the divorce done and dusted with the least amount of hassle as possible.I am paying for it so I just want to know if I have to pay for a financial order or whether I can just apply for a Clean Break order once the divorce is finalised.0
