    Hi @"E.ON_Company_Representative:_Malc"
Any idea how long before SSE issue final bill and then refund any money left over back to me?
Malc is pretty good, but you can't expect him to be a mind reader !  Your question about SSE needs to be addressed to SSE.

At present, suppliers can take as long as they like to issue a final bill.  However, once the final bill has been issued they have to return the credit within two weeks.  The good news is that from 1 May 2020 they will have to issue the final bill within six weeks.

It can generally take anything up to 4-6 weeks for the final bill. However, my most recent experience when I left EDF last year, was that I received my final bill 3 weeks after the switch. There are certain suppliers that have a reputation for being slow to issue final bills though, but if you don't get your final bill within 6 weeks, chase them up for it.

As Gerry1 mentions, as of May this year, OFGEM rules mean your previous supplier will have to automatically pay you £30 compensation if they don't issue the bill within 6 weeks.

Thanks both, I received a switch complete notification from E.on on 13/3 but not heard anything from SSE apart form a email to say sorry I was leaving etc which must be shortly after they received notification of my switch.
So it's been around 4 weeks so far so  i'll see if I get anything in the next couple of weeks, thanks.
