Travel insurance for flight booked just before coronavirus knowledge

I paid for 3 flights for myself and daughers to Thailand for end of June. I stupidly didn't buy insurance at the same time! Every insurance I have looked at over the past week (a lot of small print reading!) states that I won't be insured if buy the insurance after the knowledge of the possibility of holiday cancellation. Has anyone got any ideas or inside insurance knowledge..... I am holding back on booking any accommodation so it is just for my flights that potentially I could be out of pocket.

All you can really do is keep your fingers crossed that the virus has been contained by June (which I think is highly unlikely). I'd hold off the accommodation for now and assess the situation nearer the time.0
