I have recently had a plasterer in to board and scim a room which was back to bare brick and put insulation in the ceiling in the midlands area
The builder was on job for 4 days and the plasterer on job for 3 days.
He has said the materials was £900 and labour is £1200. Is this about right? Should the job of taken 7 man days to complete?
The room has an approx floor of 16m2 and the ceiling was down and back to bare brick and the height of the room is 2.4m
The picture at the top is an ariel view of the space which was completed

Can’t really advise a great deal but my plasterer does a standard sized room (4m x 3m maybe), plus overboards the ceiling if needed for £300 and it’s done in a day. Him and his son work together on it and are usually finished by 3 or 4pm. I’m in the South East (Hertfordshire)
obviously boarding the whole room and adding the insulation in the ceiling will increase costs, but can maybe use my price as a gauge0 -
7 man days labour at £1200 is less than £172 per day per person. Not sure of prices in the area you live in, but here in the SE you'd struggle to find any trades person wanting to do a skilled job for less than £200/£250 per day.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
