Faster Credit Report Update

Hi all
I went for a mortgage application just before Christmas and the advisor suggested I try to clear two credit cards down before going ahead with the application.
I have now managed to do this, and have paid the cards off in full, and want to go for a mortgage again.  My question is how can I get my credit report updated quicker?  It usually takes them around 4-8 weeks to update, but I want to get started ASAP.  Can my credit card company speed up the process and get it updated quicker?

They'll report it in their next reporting cycle and you're unlikely to be able to change that. 

But it will be updated in real time (whereas you're probably view ng a monthly update of your files), so should be a maximum of a month, probably a lot less.

My son had a similar situation, the mortgage company were happy with a print screen of the online credit card account showing it had been cleared.

Lenders differ in approach. Use a mortgage broker if time is of the essence.
