Artificial foliage for fencing

We have a 6 foot fence at the back of the house with vertical slats that can be seen through.  Has anyone used artificial foliage to screen theirs and if so what did you use please. I do like to look before I buy but most of it is only available online.
Costco have the bamboo type screens in at the moment but not too keen on those.

This isn't really a gardening question, though I'm not sure where it would fit; maybe 'In my Home'? To fit here, I have to suggest growing something like pyracantha in front of the fence.
The only time I've seen artificial foliage used en masse was on a new house in Exeter, where the developer made a green wall by affixing plastic plants to the outside of the house. It was as tacky as it sounds. Next time I drove past, the new owner had ripped them all off and there was just a naked concrete block wall where they were growing cordon tomatoes. Maybe they've had it rendered by now. I would.
