Noticed a day or two ago that all G_M's guides are gone.Smodlet said:OP, read the stickies at the top of this board by G_M. Everything you need to know will be in one or other of his guides and they are very well-written.
(I would have done the same thing.)2024 wins: *must start comping again!*4 -
OMG! I was looking at them only a couple of days ago! Sorry, scopio, I did not know that but all the information will be on Shelter's website, just in a more long-winded form, I think.
It seems the Great_Man himself has done away with them. I suppose one cannot really blame him, under the circumstances but it does seem a shame.3 -
Thanks all been reading threw all your comments and honestly we didnt know that it was this bad as we viewed it months before we moved in and at the time there were tenants living in the property and was following us around with a kid running around alone with all their stuff everywhere.
From what I heard the landlord hasn't seen the place in over 4 years and it's mostly the agency that does everything. To name and shame I am gladly tell you we are located in Colchester, Essex and Agency is Abbotts. Thought they would of been better than Palmer and partners but they are worse.
I think we have a 6 months clause for our tenancy and after that we can give them a months notice. We even have holes in the walls by the front door that werent there when viewing !1 -
Cakeguts said:Renting is the same as everything else you get what you pay for. If you try to rent a cheap property this is the situation you find yourself in. You get a landlord who doesn't care. Not everyone has a choice unfortunately, you can only go for what you can afford.I agree this one looks particularly bad, but believe me when I say it would be very nice to be in a position to pick and choose.
