Tried SGN they not getting back to me. I have a new flat that only has electricity however has a gas connection, the flat has new electric heaters with Fischer thermostats, however my hot water comes via an big immersion heater tank and I only seem to get hot water for a short time, should I replace everything with a combi boiler and gas radiator?

You probably have two immersion heaters, one at the bottom that heats the whole tank, and another one higher up which gives you half a tank or less.  This arrangement is designed for Economy 7 or whatever so that you get a full tank overnight at cheap rate and can top up at peak rate if you've messed up or been away.  Unfortunately E7 may not be competitive unless you have genuine storage heaters, although some suppliers such as Yorkshire Energy can be competitive even with low night use.
Gas CH would be a good investment.  Much lower bills, improves the value of your flat and makes it sellable more easily.
