Am I right to refuse sale to investors?

Hi all,
First time seller here, had our house valued last night and have already had 6 viewings booked before the pictures were even taken.
The house is a 3 bed semi for around 180k and is perfect for a young couple/FTB, however I've noticed that a property investment firm is coming to view the property at the same time as a FTB couple.
Is there anything stopping me from telling the EA to not market my property to investors and give viewings to FTB only?
I want a smooth sale without any "game playing", and I also want a young couple to benefit from a cheap house and get onto the property ladder like we were able to.
I'm also worried the investors may try to put the FTBs off by deliberately spotting faults in the property (needs a little bit of work).
What are your thoughts? (and yes I know I sound like a socialist).

Just don't accept any offers from investors. You get to choose who to sell to.

FTBs aren't necessarily going to mean a "smooth sale" - have a look at all the panicky FTBs posting here about every minor issue they encounter. Not sure that investors are any more likely to try to put off other viewers, generally it can be good to get viewers at the same time as others as it engenders a sense of competition.6

Erm, I'm not sure sure where you've got the impression that FTBs are an easy ride and investors are going to take you for one. It's laudable that you want to sell to a family and I respect that, but FTBs can be total divas and investors are more likely to know what they want and stick to it, but also understand the process and be kinder to your timetables...
Why on earth would anyone try to out anyone off? I've been to hundreds of viewings and only one person put me off. Ironically it was our very first viewing and the issue was obviously a clinical one.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

In my books investors are more realistic, unless of course you have something to hide ;-)1

Plague?

When are the investors going to come into contact with the FTB's.1

It’s hard to understand what the issue is here. It’d be normal to sell to the highest bidder who you believe will be able and willingness NV to proceed to completion in a reasonable timescale.2

You might not know anyway, investors can pose as private buyers.

interesting, I would have thought you'd want to get the most you can for your property, does it matter who buys it?0

We will be selling our house soon. I hope to sell to someone who rents it out to at least 15 people. Have 6 dogs and work from home on a night shift. Not that I wish to get my own back on my selfish neighbours.11
