Child possibly on spectrum?

Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask and I am only asking to see what others think.

My eldest daughter is 9 years old and has always had an issue with food (textures and smells). She used to have issues with noises like hand dryers and being with lots of people overwhelmed her (those two have got better as shes got older). However, shes not very good with change. For example, she knows bed time is at 8.30 so she gets anxious if the bath isnt ran by 6.30 as she will only have a set amount of time to play before she goes to bed. She also struggles with some gross motor skills as shes very clumsy and struggles with knife and fork and gets very annoyed very easily. 


But, at school she is very kind and popular, she has a lot of friends . Shes quite floaty so when girls are being bitchy she doesnt see it and it goes over her head. My husband has a background in caring for autistic young adults and is convinced shes got aspergers/on the spectrum where as I know she has difficulties in some things but I am not sure she is that bad as having some actual condition. I haven't ever taken her to the doctors as I am not the sort if person who wants something forcefully diagnosed and actually I'll be embarrassed if they say she is normal and I feel like we are being ott. But also, if other people think it isnt normal and there are things that can be done to help her then it would be a good thing

She sounds exactly like my daughter who has just been diagnosed with autism in March, age 13.
