Replaced garden fence - in exactly the same place, but neighbour thinks not

Don't phrase it like a threat but when you speak to them, you could let them know that with the fence as it is, in the original position as far as you can tell, you are happy for them to grow some plants up it, attach reasonable garden ornaments to the posts etc, but that if you have to move it over a couple of inches it will be firmly in your garden so they will not be allowed to do so. That would swing it for me!0

I just don't understand where they are coming from - perhaps all will become clear when we get there, but the work done has been done with the best of intentions, we certainly don't want to get into the situation of there being animosity with the neighbours, us or our tenants - if we can possibly help it.0

You are not there, the tenants could be a nightmare, or angelsryand75 said:we certainly don't want to get into the situation of there being animosity with the neighbours, us or our tenants - if we can possibly help it.

Go and look at the fence yourselves ... then take it from there. A rather large detail you omitted from the OP.1
