Australia eVisitor visa - do I need to fill out form 1229?

Does anyone have any experience of travelling to Australia with their child but without the other parent? I have eVisitor visas for both of us but am unsure of whether I also need form 1229, Consent to grant an Australian visa
to a child under the age of 18 years. I've had a look at the Aus Home Affairs page but haven't got very far. It doesn't say whether you need to do it if you've already been granted the visa. Any help would be appreciated as I don't have the correct software to fill in the online form so it will require some effort if I am required to fill it in!
