So I’m starting my packing so there isn’t a mad rush between exchange and completion.

You don’t realise how much carp you accumulate until you pack up.

    Bit fishy eh?  :D

To clarify, I use 'bin' in the very loosest term. Most goes in charity bags. I only 'bin' stuff in the recycling box if it's literally no longer useable or wearable.

Don't bin stuff, people! (Unless it's broken or otherwise end-of-life). Give it away for free on Facebook groups/Freecycle or give it to charity shop.
That's all well and good if you have the time to do that and deal with timewasters.

We didn't so opted for the skip method. Although the skip rats had a field day and took a lot of the stuff that we put in there!
That's fair enough re Facebook/Freecycle, but at least take it to a charity shop or see if there's a house clearance company who'll take it all away. I just hate to see stuff go into landfill.

I find that if I take it to a charity shop I support then I find it easier to give stuff away.
I tell myself the donor would have not wanted to make me unhappy.
    One man's trash etc
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

You don’t realise how much carp you accumulate until you pack up. I still have stuff in a spare room from moving from parents home to my rented place. I just can’t bare the idea of throwing away something someone has bought me even if it’s a naff thing.

But I would like less rubbish.

Does anyone else have this issue and how did you resolve it.
A tip I was given a few years ago was to take a photo. That way you when you declutter you'll still have a virtual reminder of those items.

I've packed my of my clothes, just kept a few bits out for non-working days, kept my work gear out and have to go through a few tubs.

Have me the opportunity to sort out a charity shop donation bag.

    Packed all my books.

I'm just taking it a bit at a time.

You will get sorted out, just tackle a room at a time.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Yes, we did that with our daughter's massive dolls' house. She still looks at the picture and complains. She's 31.
And guess what we found in the back of the loft here when we moved in? Mind you, that one was vintage and worth putting on eBay. :)
