Thanks for all the replies and helpful suggestions. I discovered that my Bosch circular saw has an accessory which enables its use on a track. It's not going to be as stable as a track saw proper but will do for now. The track adapter was £19 and I purchased an Evolution 1400mm track for just over £40.2

Actually a nice table saw can cost 300-400 GBP, but you can check machinio.com or gumtree to see whats available, maybe you will be lucky and you can find something for 100 GBP1
