Exactly what jobs need to be done prior to exchange? I’m hoping we are close to it but they haven’t mentioned it yet so maybe not?
Our mortgage offer is in, searches are complete and discussed and all our enquiries have now been answered. Our buyers mortgage offer is in, searches are done and we answered all the enquiries a week ago. No word since. Our solicitor is going to chase them today to see what’s going on but I’m just hoping we’ll exchange soon. I’m trying to sort out 4 school places for this year and 2 high school applications for September so I need proof of address ASAP as it’s a real headache. We haven’t signed anything yet or been asked about deposit (I guess because there’s no cash deposit as a second time buyer?).

Are you sure about that? If the property you are purchasing is worth more than the one you are selling then the deposit passing up the chain will be less than 10%. If this lower deposit isn't agreed by your vendor then there will be additional money needed.SameOldRoundabout said:I guess because there’s no cash deposit as a second time buyer?
