One vehicle, two policies?
Hi,
Until recently, my wife and I have each had our own vehicle, and have been insured as second drivers on each others'.
A few months ago, my wife scrapped her car, meaning she doesn't have a policy of her own anymore.
What's the best way for both of us to keep our no claims bonus now? Can we each take out separate policies as a primary driver on my vehicle?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

You can, but in all probability you will be paying about twice as much as you need to pay to insure the car.
A better option is for you to insure it one year, her to insure it the next year, and so on. No claims bonuses generally do not expire until they have not been used for 2 years, so by rotating the policyholder you can keep both NCBs live indefinitely (assuming neither of you makes a claim of course).0
