Amazon refusing to refund my money?
I need some help please. I had bought an item through Amazon but had to send it back to the seller based in India because it didn’t resemble what the pictures in the advertisement did. I used Royal Mail’s service to send it back but after a few months of waiting for my money back, I contacted Amazon and they said that the seller said they hadn’t received the item back so I was advised to contact Royal Mail and make a missing item claim with them and so I did. Royal Mail then sent me a letter saying that the item was delivered to the seller so I re-contacted Amazon and they asked me to send them a picture of the letter and so I did and then they said that I was going to get my money back without two weeks but then I received nothing after a few more months of waiting so I contacted them again and they said that my latest claim with them was withdrawn by myself when I didn’t do so. And then I had to make a new claim with Amazon but then they sent me an email saying that they had already looked into it and that they won’t help me with it anymore. So now nobody wants to take responsibility because Amazon doesn’t want to help me or give me my money back because their seller told them that the item wasn’t received but then Royal Mail doesn’t want to help me or give me my money back because they said that the item was delivered. And I’m still missing my money. Could you guys please help me with this matter?

So you did not actually buy it from Amazon. Just Amazon Marketplace. Their version of e-bay....
Only hope would be the A to Z guarantee.
But while RM say delivered to seller, was it signed for by seller?Life in the slow lane1 -
OP i had the same trouble with an item from china (marketplace)......the seller said send it back and he would refund item plus postage,i insisted on a return postage label and after Amazon intervened i got refund and kept item which i gave to a charity shop as it was wrong item.
You should have insisted on the seller paying for return postage rather than paying yourself,i think you can kiss goodbye to your refund

Yes which is the reason I had said “through Amazon” and not “from Amazon”. I had paid for the signature service so they should have the sign. Thanks for the suggestion.born_again said:So you did not actually buy it from Amazon. Just Amazon Marketplace. Their version of e-bay....

I’ll try telling Amazon about the fact that they didn’t send me a pre-paid label.couriervanman said:OP i had the same trouble with an item from china (marketplace)......the seller said send it back and he would refund item plus postage,i insisted on a return postage label and after Amazon intervened i got refund and kept item which i gave to a charity shop as it was wrong item.
