Questions re buying land

Thanks for explaining. Makes me wonder how the existing owners have it as 2 separate land registry entries, one with a mortgage and one without, I’m guessing it depends on the lender as to what they’ll allow?davidmcn said:

Hi, I wonder if anyone has any advice. A buyer has come forward to buy 100ft of our garden. We have 200ft. He has already bought a number of gardens in our road, we are the last house in the row to be approached, he owns the access points. This is fine, especially because I want to retire a year ahead of the gov. imposed extension to my working age! We will need a solicitor I guess, we are mortgage free.
A contract will be drawn up, and, as soon as outline planning is approved we will be paid. Just checking, there any pitfalls or things we should look out for? Many thanks!0 -
