For the fund MAN GLG UK INCOME PROFESSIONAL CLASS - INCOME (GBP) with HL, on the factsheet, it says that the Historic yield is 5.17% and is paid monthly. If I were to purchase say £10,000 into this fund, how do I calculate what the monthly income would be?

I hold the fund. It is currently paying a steady £133/month on an investment now worth £30K. So for £10K that would be £44/month. Or to use the historic yield £10K X 5.17%/12=£43.

Thanks Linton. I initially invested in the fund in January with two purchases, and received a payment of £1.81 on an initial £500 investment. The purchases were29/01/2020 Bought 132.20 (Unit cost pence) 189.107 (Qty) £250.0022/01/2020 Bought 134.70(Unit cost pence) 185.598 (Qty) £250.00
So I was unsure how the £1.81 was calculated...0 -
You have a total of 374.705 units and the dividend amount according to Trustnet was 0.484 pence per unit. Multiply that by your number of units and that amounts to £1.81.neildt said:Thanks Linton. Don't forget to deduct fees of 1.35% from the 5.17%; 0.9% OCF for the fund and 0.45% for HL's platform. So yield net of fees is 3.82%.

The fund fee (OCF) has already been taken from the capital so does not need to be deducted again. If it were to be taken from the income the stated payment would be net of fees

Yes, HL is quite expensive for funds with a platform charge of 0.45%, so your income net of this charge would be 4.72%.Bravepants said:Don't forget to deduct fees of 1.35% from the 5.17%; 0.9% OCF for the fund and 0.45% for HL's platform. So yield net of fees is 3.82%.

Further to above, looking at the Dividend tab on this link https://www.trustnet.com/factsheets/o/zj86/man-glg-uk-income I can see that the declared dividend amounts are as follows
Dividend Type Dividend Amount Ex Dividend Date Payment Date Tax Indicator Final 0.040 02/03/2020 31/03/2020 No Tax Interim 0.011 03/02/2020 28/02/2020 No Tax
For this fund, do they have 11 monthly 'Interim' dividends with one final dividend paid 31st March 2020.
I'm trying to work out how my dividend payment on 31st March 2020 of £14.70 was calculated. I calculated that I had 852.769 units in this fund before the ex-dividend date of 02/03/2020.
Also, is there anywhere I can see historic dividend amounts that have been declared by this fund that goes back beyond 03/06/20190 -
A lot of companies are no longer paying dividends and therefore it is likely the income from this fund will either drop or the capital value will fall if they decide to maintain the dividend but pay it from the fund's capital

Yes, looking at the Trustnet link, it shows that the fund pays monthly interim dividends with a final dividend on 31 March 2020. I have always found it difficult to find historic dividends on funds, so you may not be able to get details of dividends before last year.neildt said:Further to above, looking at the Dividend tab on this link https://www.trustnet.com/factsheets/o/zj86/man-glg-uk-income I can see that the declared dividend amounts are as followsDividend Type Dividend Amount Ex Dividend Date Payment Date Tax Indicator Final 0.040 02/03/2020 31/03/2020 No Tax Interim 0.011 03/02/2020 28/02/2020 No Tax

I think my main concern is whether this fund, as well as with other similar funds I hold, will be able to continue paying the same amount of dividends if this crisis continues for many months, and more of the underlying companies reduce and/or cancel dividends.
