Plastic shed base

Going to put up a new shed 10 foot by 8 and was wondering about a plastic base to sit it on as less to dig out then lay base level and fill with gravel. Anyone had any experience of doing this and any recommendations on grid type.

I have constructed a base using, 45mm x 70mm wood, it will then sit on concrete, but may need a few pieces to make it level.

Thanks for your reply but what I'm looking at replaces concrete so instead of digging around 6 inches out you only dig 20

I extended a concrete base with the 'milk crate' type plastic pieces. Been down for years and they're still good. I understand you only need the shed floor joists to be centred (or near enough ) on a piece. I supported each joist over its full length though1

That's just what I'm on about milk crate type plastic pieces, glad they have lasted for you as they seem a much easier way than concrete0

Hi, my husband and I, did this last July (2019) for our 15x8 plastic Workshop which we wanted to put in a lawned area. We employed a landscaper who had a machine to take out the grass and then thump the ground to give a firmer base. We then levelled it ourselves with a sand base and laid the ‘plastic grids’ filling them with shingle, stones and sand mix. The shed which has a plastic floor sits on top and the grid which you see around the edge we filled with decorative stone. We are very happy with it and like you say it saves a lot of digging out and playing with all that concrete.1
