caronavirus and travel insurance

i have annual travel insurance which is due for renewal early april.
i have booked a holiday early may .
what is my cover should we need to cancel under government advice before my renewal.

    That link above appears abit misleading. If the FO advise against travel, surely your first port of call is the operator you booked it with to get a refund, and not your travel insurance company? Thats assume its not a DIY holiday

    It's an article written by (presumably) MSE staff.
    If you don't agree with any aspect, I suggest you contact either of the people who wrote it.

     My Tavel insurance states cancellation if by reason of outbreak of infectious disease, says nothing about about government advice and I bought the policy long before the outbreak. 
     Who knows they may still try and pull a fast one if we need to cancel but it reads in our favour. 
     So read your policy documents carefully
