Hi All, Have found a suite in B&Q it's down to £518 in the current sale with 15% off. Does anyone know if these bathroom suites are any good or what to look for in a half decent suite. Is the suite likely to be reduced further after christmas? Also i read on another thread that OAP's can get 10% off - is this correct and if so does it still apply to things that already discounted?
Many thanks for any help in advance. Regards Huggins

Hi, I don't know if they're any good but you do get 10% off but you need to order on a Wednesday. You can still get it along with other promotions too.
I have read a few horror stories about their delivery service/waiting times though, so it might be worth checking that out.0 -

NEVER never buy a bathroom suite form B&Q they are rubbish and NEVER use their "installation" service. I speak from bitter experience and you only need to check on internet to see many many similar comments or speak to any reputable plumber0

B&Q bathrooms are fine never had any problems fitting them i have fitted lots particulary the cheaper ones getting them delivered is another story i asume they all have to be made to British standard and carry a BS number0

Last year our toilet broke and we did an emergency replacement with a basic 'To Go' toilet from B & Q. Our bathroom suite is grey... so this is just a temporary replacement til we get our bathroom done.
This basic loo is difficult to keep clean and seems to stain quite easily, so frequent scouring is required. (sorry folks....)
I am sure that a quality loo would be ok - but I wouldn't recommend the very basic one unless, like us, you want is as a temporary stop-gap.0 -
not great try elsewhere0

I fitted a Toilet To Go (love that name!) for a client and she was very pleased with it.
If you want a cloackroom suite from B and Q My advice would be to go for one of their cubes without the bath - better value for money than the To Go stuff IMO.
I have fitted a number of B and Q suites and separates. TBH the shower manufacture leaves a lot to be deisred, I had to do a lot of fettling to get a good seal on the waste. The baths and pocelein are OK though.
You need to know what you're doing when you fit them though.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
We've ordered our bathroom & ensuite, from them - this'll be the second time - all delivered fASTER than they said!
Got the sale offer & the 'extra' discount, but not in a position to try for the OAP 10%
None of the new stuff fitted yet, but can't complain about what we've seen of it.
They were the home delivered, more expensive suites, but can't see as the quality is an issue, with cheaper ones, just a different style.
& dont forget they'll plan it on computer, in store, free, to see how it'll look in real life!
But DONT pay out for their high fitting costs - find your own guy!
