TONIK
I asked, through Money Saving Expert website, to be transferred from Octopus to TONIK. This transfer, according to Octopus, happened on 6th Feb 2020.
Since that time I've had no meaningful or relevant replies (simply automatically generated emails), to my emails from TONIK. According to MSE site my application is being processed. I have read the posts on the forum & like others are now wondering what is going on with TONIK. I rang CAB (0808 223 1133 free call) this morning (very helpful) & they rang TONIK (03333 442686) on my behalf - no reply. CAB have sent an email to TONIK asking them to phone me within 5 working days. I was informed by CAB that TONIK now are obliged to contact me - TONIK have an obligation to do this, but CAB would not discuss details of this obligation. I, like others, wished I had not swapped from Octopus, who reply very promptly & whose bills are clear & prompt.
It would appear that the TONIK website is still active, but I have not tested it - would I dare to or want to???

Tonik Energy have ceased trading and all accounts have been transferred to Scottish Power. New direct debits have to be set up, it'll be interesting to see how much the monthly payment changes/goes up!0

Seriously?
Are you taking the piddle?0 -
Yeah, it's serious! I got an email off Scottish Power today and thought it was the usual phishing type email until I checked it out. I'm expecting a big price hike so I'll be moving elsewhere once it's all gone through (unless Scottish Power have a comparable tariff to the one I was on).

9 months later it occurs to you that something isnt right?.Doubt that CAB are unaware Tonik are defunct,if they dont know that then they'll be of little help. Its immaterial that Scottish Power have been chosen as the supplier though, somewhere had to be.Once your switch is completed you can move free of charge. No supplier is under any obligation to honour any previous agreement.0
