Do I need insurance or is it ok...

Yes, agreed, maybe I have misinterpreted what was being asked. However, what would be the advantage of taking out a policy in April, with another currently valid, to cover a trip in July ?Reading between the lines, perhaps the OP is afraid travel insurance companies will downgrade the scale and scope of cover in respect of coronavirus related cancellations, so it's best to get advantageous cover in sooner rather than later ?I reckon those companies that are that way inclined will already have done so, therefore nothing to be gained by premature action.0
