Because claims ‘management’ companies are a swizz. It’s like having a bad meal in a restaurant and then instead of complaining to the waiter, you complain to the guy at the table next to you, he tells the waiter why you’re unhappy, you get a refund and he keeps 25% of it.

they aren’t advertised or promoted here because it’s a free complaint process that you can do yourself and keep every penny. Hidenda use the same process you would use but charge handsomely for the stamp (in your case they’ve charged you £217 for a first class stamp).

I see, im looking through the letter bank of scotland sent me and theres a breakdown of how my refund was calculated but theres no mention of hidendas fees, oh well, £904 I wouldve never gotten back if it wasnt for them for anyway, wouldve never written to BOS myself as I thought there was about a 1% I had PPI

The bank don’t care about hidenda’s fees, they’ll invoice you shortly. You would’ve got it back if you’d have written to them, regardless of percentage of what you thought.

The Bank will inform your representative that your complaint has been successful and the firm will bill you separately. So do realise that 20% of that £904 (plus VAT) will be charged.
Claim firms are completely unnecessary and charge exorbitantly..
