How often should an energy company bill me?

Hello all.
My aunty was switched to EDF energy when Toto went bust in October 2019. Since then she has continued to pay her standard monthly direct debit and the remaining credit balance from Toto was moved over. However EDF have yet to supply my aunty with a bill for the time she was been with them (which I believe to officially be 2 December 2019 as the final Toto bill was for the period to 1 Dec 2019).
How often do EDF bill customers? I would expect to receive a bill every month.
I have supplied meter readings as and when requested by EDF.
