My CIFAS report came back completely clean, still awaiting on my Hunters report. This is really confusing as CIFAS are supposed to have the the largest database0

Really? Would that be because I was partly out of the country? If so It’s seems as though I may have accidentally shot myself in the foot. I hope that I am on the right track here.Without wanting to go into too much detail in the beginning and with this application. I had actually consistently, on average been leaving the the country every third month due to needing to sort out family business following the passing of my father. So just to be clear on average for every 1 month I spent abroad I spent 2 months in the UK. However I only mentioned that I was out of the country for 2 years prior to explain it in simplistic terms.
I normally work in the construction field, however as I knew that I would need to be travelling back and forth so regularly I was just literally taking casual self employed jobs every now and then when I was in the UK (during the 2 year period). As I earned less than the annual tax threshold I didn’t declare it to HMRC. So for that 2 year time period there would have been no tax record.
I still kept my bank accounts, credit cards etc open and continued making payments.
Do you think there might be an easy way for me to clear this up ? And do you think I could still obtain a mortgage from someone?

And should I still await on my Hunters report to return before I think about making my next move? Or would everything have already shown up on CIFAS?0

National Hunter will highlight the discrepancies between any credit applications that you've made. Lenders will assess this information and make a judgement based on their own lending criteria. All applications made need to be factually correct. Anything less is considered fraud. Almost without fail resulting in a decline and a corresponding flag on your history.

Just because your income is less than personal allowance does not mean you don’t have to report it to hmrc. https://www.gov.uk/self-assessment-tax-returns/who-must-send-a-tax-return2

If you aren't declaring any of your UK income. What source are you putting on your mortgage applications?0

I can’t believe I made that assumption 🤦♂️ Can I still potentially repair this slight mess, by filing a late submission to HMRC for what I did actually earn back then? And possibly contact Hunter (if I find anything on there) to clear up/ remove any mistaken information that could have given me a strike?0
