Hi,
Can anyone advise where I should start looking for an affordable holiday. I would like to go to the South of France with my partner mid July in a nice hotel near the sea or if not possible self catering. Any reputable websites etc. recommended to start looking at? I have been looking today on the net but as I don't know the companies I can't determine how reliable they are. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks Bassey. Have you used these companies or know of people who have used these?
Anyone actually stayed in a nice villa in the South of France or know of a reputable company that stock these?0 -
Hi,
We used a company called interhome to book our apartment in the South of France last year. Looking at their website I think they do villas too. All of the sites mentioned above will search the charter and low coost airlines but will not usually mix them together to get the best fares. The best bet for cheap flights is beatthetravelagent.co.uk . I always use their search engine as it matches the cheapest flight going out and the cheapest one coming back using multiple airlines and it usually saves me money. it is worth remembering that if you do all of the bits seperately that you will not be ATOL protected so make sure you pay with a credit card for protection. Hope this helps.I am a Travel Agent
My company ABTA number is P6758. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.0 -

I am certainly a newbie to cheap hols/flights and expect to find threads helpful, not posters posting slightly snide remarks that are meaningless to most people. But you do have lots of 'thanks' so imagine your postings are normally a bit more useful!
The comment was made because that was a reply to a post that was done in June 2004!
Its an easy mistake to make when a thread comes up on a search.Mags - who loves shopping0
