Partial underfloor electric heating
Hi, I have no experience of above, but maybe looking to buy this
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-76826182.html
Looks like this system when into the new bits when they improved
How efficient/costly/'immediate' is this type of system ? Can't see why they didn't put in extra rads.
Any experience/opinions please
(there doesn't seem to be a "watch this/notify of replies" on this new forum, is there?

Electric underfloor heating can be expensive to run but as it only seems to be in the Utility, study and "luxury" shower room then I wouldn't be everso worried - If the rooms have separate controls (timer/thermostat) then it's even better. You don't really need to heat a utility room, the shower room only needs to be heated when you are in it, same with the study. You can always turn it of and use a fan heater in the study and I'm not really sure why you'd want to tramp through the ute to have a shower (unless you were using the study as a bedroom)
You can set up notifications on this site - together with E-mails but be aware that you can get inundated with them if you aren't careful - I've turned my e-mail notifications off and there are presently 203 sitting in my notification file. You get a red dot on the bell to notify you if you've requested notifications.
Look at the top right of the page and you'll see a bell symbol, click on it and then click on the the menu to set up your notification preferencesNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
thanks. Yes sep controls. Bit of a strange layout/additions ah?0

Only one room is described as "electric" underfloor heating. Are the other rooms with underfloor heating running from the boiler with a proper UFH manifold and wet pipework? I'd double check by asking the owners during a further viewing. Don't believe anything the estate agents tell you.0

true, only the first floor shower room says "electric underfloor", the others just say "underfloor" (maybe a printing error I would think. Will check. Agent did 'say', "separate controls" for each underfloor room/heating0

The place we're renting has all three forms of heating (gas CH, gas UFH and electric UFH). The wet underfloor heating is in the new build extension parts of the house, each room with individual controls. It's great once you understand the need for it to have a long time to warm up. I switched off the electric underfloor heating in the bathrooms, as the rooms have towels rail radiators on the gas CH system that keeps the rooms warm enough and if you're keeping the fabric of the building warm at all times, the tiles don't get too cold.
