Afternoon all,Glad your back is a little better NmlcBet you felt better for getting out Nelski - hope you did anyway!Gers good luckRR, hope you feel a bit better having made your decision,HugsI set off early this morning to As da, needed more fruit and veg, DH dropped me off.I was going to walk back but when I felt the weight of the bags I got a taxi.Just as well as DB text wanting to call in, shortly after I got back. I needed to up my F&V as my weight has stayed the same this last week, not surprised really as I've been out for lunch twice, & 1 birthday tea, & fell under the spell of sticky toffee pud after yesterdays lunch
I really need to plan my meals better.
Off to sort the washing pile, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
Afternoon all. Just to add my thoughts for REDRUBY. I agree with everyone else you are a very courageous lady and, difficult as the decision must have been, I too think you have made the right one. x
It's still bitter cold out there and we have had a couple of attempts at snow and one of hailstones. Roll on some warmer weather.
I too, like most others, beit the elderly or those with underlying health problems, am worried about the Coronavirus spread and it's really giving cause for concern now. On the local news I hear there has now been a case confirmed less than 10 miles from us. I think I am now regretting getting stocks of the freezers down in case we have to isolate ourselves!
The hairdresser has been and gone. Not as scissor happy as she sometimes can be so no need for the woolly hat to conceal my shorn locks!
Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Well done RUBYRED - it's a difficult decision to make and takes huge amounts of bravery!TAFF - ouch..Well, the bloke arrived here at about 10.30 as his mate is off sick and he's dealing with both flats. He's not the fastest worker in the world and seems easily distracted. He's only put down the carpet protector so far and is now doing something with a plasterer next door, so no major noise or dust yet.13

no need to be sorry nanny, it takes me so long to write a post that I think four or five posts could appear by the time I'm finishedHuzzah to shorter hair TA. Yes, although it feels a bit like overreacting, if you're in the percentage of population that could be seriously affected by it [ and I am] then I am also worried. Just because it's completely exploded case wise in Italy, and there's every chance it could do that here too....Just heard my mothers best friend and her mother have caught it and are staying in a hotel, where they were on holiday and one person has also died from complication in the same hotel...My cousins son sent a video of him driving this morning around Castelleone, and there was no traffic on the roads.Gers, let's hope he buxks up his ideas a bit or you'll be in a mess for a while! And don't worry about the finger, I borrowed your big girls pants and rubber gloved the dishes and am about to start chopping veg and chicken [ with a much bigger knife that I am 99% not likely to cut myself with!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Evening all,
Very cold here, not helped by the fact that our heating is not working again.......heating engineers are scarcer than hens teeth and are notoriously unreliable. I managed to contact two today......one can't come until Thursday and said to get somebody else if I could......I took a name and number from the side of a van in the village and he is to come tomorrow, so keeping my fingers crossed that all works out and doesn't cost a fortune!!
Ruby.......congratulations on the decision you have made, difficult as it was I think that it was the correct one, you are so brave and strong, you will get better even if it takes a while and will be supported by all on this thread, as you have supported us when we needed support.
The Coronous virus is indeed a worry, there are now two cases on the island, one in NI and one in ROI, hopefully it can be contained by sensible measures. It will mean that people will travel less and economies will suffer, but health is more important than wealth.
Well done Nelski, you are certainly attacking recovery on all sides, keep it up but don't overdo it.
Gers I hope the workmen ramp up their speed a bit.
Stay safe and warm everybody

Evening all, where has the day gone. Well we did go down the coast after all. Couldn't' bear to see the sun from in doors so off we went. It was blowing a freezing gale but it was sunny and wonderful. Housework day today and got some washing on the line, yippee!! Beautiful day, Sun shining and blue skies with a gentle breeze. Still chilly mind but glorious to see and feel. I think this week here is much the same so tomorrow think I will give the lawn a trim and potter in the garden. RR no one knows what they would do I suppose unless it happens but I think I would have done the same. My theory would be that I would rather not worry for the rest of my life but get it over with and enjoy my life. That's just my two peneth. Sending positive thoughts for your journey ahead.
