Link detached or end terrace?

I’m currently in process of buying a house. The estate agent have listed it as link detached the council as terrace. It is a detached two story with ground floor (hallway and utility) attached to another house (in middle of another). Everything on google says link detached are houses attached by garage. So would it be a link detached or end of terrace as it’s always been link that not a conversion.

I personally would call it a terrace. It's in a row of houses joined to each other.

I'm not aware of there being any "official" designation of such things, so make of it what you will. Out of interest, where do the council list it as terraced?
  • we are happy with every we are happy with everything just want to get the right terminology for insurance - although I think I will mention all this to them. It’s on most lists I’ve found as terrace not one thing as link so far.

Link detached is estate agent speak for terraced that is going to cost you more money.   Detached means not joined onto anything else except perhaps a garage but that is not joined onto anything else and in theory you can walk all the way round the property without going through any building or part of a building. Semi detached means one wall is attached but you can walk all the way round the rest of it.
Terraced is where the property is attached to something else on both sides so you have to walk through some other building to get to the back from the front.

All link detached house are in fact terraced houses.

Personally I'd use whatever your survey said it was. Mine stated it as detached so I put that on insurance form.
