Landlord did not fix back door

Hey,
So 2 weeks ago i reported to the estate agency that my back door (french doors) was broken, and the hinge was completely broken so the only way to close it was to lift it (quite heavy) and then close it. 2 weeks and nothing was done except from a visit from someone to see the door and say it was broken (duh) and not to open it again. This morning my garden table was flying around because of the wind so i had to open the door and grab the table before it smashes through a windows or neighbour's car. After opening it though the wind blew the whole thing off its hinges and now there is no door to close. I reported at 10 am and he said he can't send anyone because of the wind(?) but after some arguing he agreed to send someone. Around 4pm he called and said he got a message that the guy wont make it. So now im sitting in my living room with a massive gap blowing air in, nothing is open so i can go buy some duct tape and cardboard to close it.
My question is, is he allowed not to send anyone within a day for such a serious thing? Also would this be my fault and have to pay for it? I reported it 2 weeks ago and he made 0 effort. I also have a whole in the wall from when an electrician came and did some work that he was supposed to fix 14 months ago. What should my next steps be?
Thanks

If therr I'd another way into the garden I.e. through a side gate then opening an already broken door and it falling off would be seen as irresponsible.
I would phone your landlord and send some photos stressing the urgency.
Alternatively you could call a company to make safe temporarily and try and recoup the cost later. But your landlord needs to have the chance to do this 1st.
Are they aware the door has been removed in its entirety?0 -
So the landlord was very rude about the whole thing. I told him the door is currently in my living room completely off its hinges. I hurt my finger quite badly try to get the door before it slams and he started shouting "are you going to make a claim.now?" There was no way for me to go through the side gate since it was locked. I could possibly.open it but by then my table would have flown a mile away.0

You opened the door (which had a broken hinge) in high winds which were strong enough to blow a garden table around and rip the door off? They may decide it was your fault, yes, they may decide that you should pay for it, but as I don't know them, I've no idea what they'll think.

Sounds like a plastic table. Probably not worth saving vs the door when you had been told not to open it.
There has not really been the weather to carry out repairs. My daughters skylight blew off in the first storm three weeks ago and it has been impossible to even get quotes let alone repair. You will need to wait things calm down.
Do you know any diy types who can come round with a sheet of ply to board over temporarily.

If there was nothing open for you to get duct tape and plastic from what makes you think he would just happen to have some plywood of the right size?

Couldn't you have secured the table before the well-forecast high winds started...?4
