Insurance for safari holiday

We have a safari holiday in July, to Kenya and Zanzibar, and are looking for a suitable travel insurance. The holiday cost circa £11k so is an awful lot more than our usual breaks and I am struggling to find cover for more than £7.5k in the event of a cancellation. Naturally, we are very concerned given the coronavirus situation so need some insurance ASAP.

You may need to go through a broker as they will have access to, and knowledge of, specialist insurers. You won't be the first person to require higher than 'standard' cover. Stating the obvious, but you should have taken out insurance when you booked the holiday. You may find it difficult to get cover for coronavirus now as it has spread so much.
