Morning al and white rabbits. Thanks Gers for getting us going. Grrrrrr! just done long post and pressed something and it disappeared. Any hoo, was going to go for a walk today but my foot is playing up so it could be a pj day, NELSKI I might join you in  sloth mode. We went for a long walk yesterday by the river bank so I think my plantar fasciitis needs a break it feels tight and tingly . It is chilly this morning but dry and bright, still very windy but beautiful blue sky so would have been lovely by the coast. I didn't have a very good night sleep. I was whittling about a big bill coming in for some repairs, I know there are worse things to worry about but my mind goes into panic mode. Right, well must get on with the slothing.......is that a word!

A second 'good morning' from me!  I'd been awake for a lot of the night mulling things over and over. Just after I started the the thread a wave of sleepiness came over me, so I let it. 💤💤
DM's visitor is the master of the long goodbye. Yesterday it took him over an hour so it was after 8pm before the door closed behind him. 

Today I must start to gird my loins ready for the chaos of the builders tomorrow. I think it'll take them about 10 days. That means having to be up, washed and dressed every day by 8am, just like being back at work. Although I'm an early bird who is always awake at dawn, my new habit is to lounge around until DM wakes. This'll be different again. 

SNOOZER - congratulations to Brian, such good news. 👏👏
Now I need to attend to DM. I haven't looked out the windows yet so can't tell what it's like though I'm surprised to read about the snow where CAMELOT is. 😱

Morning all

The sun is shining and its meant to be a fairly decent day for a change, it certainly lifts the mood !! I have stripped the beds and got the bedding on a hot wash will try to hang it out for a while.
Might venture to the beach for a walk today a lot of the sea defenses have crumbled and broken locally and the sea is breaching the land, there are a few houses close by who might be affected, poor people it must be terrifying.
Roast chicken for dinner today with roasties and carrots and sprouts, dd's turn to cook so once we are  back from the walk I shall be joining lots of you in sloth mode.
My friend has sent me a link to a blog where a lady has had a double mastectomy so I want to have a good read on that later, I need to understand as much as possible in order to make my mind up, although I think I am pretty much there.

Morning lovelies. Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus ! ( Happy St David's Day ) to any Welshie or ex Welshie.

Another rubbish night as I woke up coughing a couple of times again and it took me ages to get back off. The good news is the wind has died down, but we are still due more showers for the day.

It's Sunday lunch with Dad day ( if he comes ) and we are having roast chicken etc. I shall do pancakes for tea as we didn't have them on Shrove Tuesday, I'm always late for everything ! It doesn't feel that long since last Sunday though, are you sure there isn't more than one in a week ? All am doing today is cooking, Oh ! and putting my hoover together as I forgot to do that yesterday after I cleaned it, silly nanny, I'd forget my head if it wasn't screwed on !

Right another coffee beckons, then I must prep some veg. Oh the joy, be still my beating heart.... only joking but I could do with a week of R and R really. ( or a slothing day or 9 !!! )

Rabbits!! Happy St Davids Day!!
No snow, no rain, we have sunshine and wind..........tossed up whether to do the washing decided against it, do not want my underwear flying off into the chaps garden at the back.
Just prepped veg for supper and also have a pot of lentil soup on. Had a single gammon steak so cut it up along with more onion and chicken stock. I took plums out of the freezer  yesterday, going to make a crumble, so topping done, I never put the topping on until it goes in the oven, I find the juice soaks into the crumble mix and makes it soggy.
No plans for the day apart from a walk up the garden to see whats coming through, we did not have the chance in the autumn to empty the pots, given a week of fine weather they will get emptied and refilled ready for the summer bedding. I have 10 geraniums cuttings in pots on the window cill, they have come through the winter fine. I need to nip off any flower buds that develop.
So supper tonight, chicken with roasties, carrot, cauli and calabrese, plumb crumble and cream for dessert

Well, blow me down and dust me off! Got a text to say that the curtains, which I took in for dry cleaning yesterday morning, are ready for collection. 😱 I rang up to check and they are done.  Must have been a slow day for them yesterday. 

It's been quiet here, still in jim-jams watching a series of recorded programmes.
