Attaching quadrant floor beading to upvc.

I need to fit some oak quadrant/beading along a set of upvc french doors and was wondering what you guys advice as the best way to attach it given that I can't use nails in this area. I was thinking of using glazing sealant but it could be a bit messy so would it be best to use super glue instead? It's around 2.2m in length so I'll be using one piece of moulding cut to size.

  • No specialised knowledge of the subject - But of those two options I would go for the Silicon sealant,  Super Glue may or may not stick to those 2 things but one thing its not good at is bridging gaps, plus silicon would be easier to remove in future

A window sealant (mastic) would be my choice also - Flexible, good gap filling properties, and will stick to most surfaces. Just don't use too much, and clean off any excess with a damp cloth/sponge.

Whenever I use any sealant nowadays, I always have a tub of Wonder Wipes close by. Really good for cleaning up excess sealant, also many other things like paint etc.
