It’s cheaper to phone the sales for your breakdown cover you get a better price and perks. Rac and the aa are the only breakdown specialists in the uk they have there own uniformed patrols and are less reliant on 3rd party.  The likes of green flag are just brokers they use 3rd party contractors and also have some nasty terms and condition that’s can result in charges.  So today I’m going to do Rac the sales number 0330 159 1111 option 1, option 2 and option 1 for sales. In jan 2019 I joined AA for a bargain price of £60 which was roadside, relay , home start and keep on moving and renewal arrived with a whopping increase £234 for 2020 I phoned AA renewals so they only reduced it to £190.  I phoned Rac spoke to an agent and built my cover you can choose vehicle base or personal base so I chose personal because you can be a drive or passenger in any vehicle.  So eventually I got the same cover as AA it was called prem rescue and the first price was £170 so I said I got a quote from green flag for £100 and also mentioned that on your website battery replace is free.  I kindly asked is that best price because green flag is £100 so they said I’ll pop you on hold so they can speak to their manager 1 min goes by and they come back prem rescue £130 for 15 months with free battery replace and a price for 2021.  So said if u can knock another  £10 off I’ll take it and they did.  That works out for 8 per month for breakdown cover I can’t grumble at that.

ok autoaid might still be cheapest at £60 with the added bonus of 'free' spouse cover, but please remember we singles who have suffered a 24% price increase to pay for this unwanted 'bonus'

or Start Rescue around £30 which includes Legal cover (usually around £25 if added on to your car insurance).
