Universal Credit - Worked but employer pays in arrears

Options
Hi, wondering if anybody can clear this up for me.
I am just coming to the end of my first assessment period for universal credit. They calculate how much I get on 03/03 and pay on 08/03.
During this first month I have managed to pick up £770 worth of temp hours. HOWEVER I will not receive this £770 until the end of March.
Will they reduce my payment on the 08/03 thinking that I have been paid £770?

  • They take earnings into account during the assessment period in which you actually receive them. If you receive the wages at the end of March, they'll be taken into account for the payment at the beginning of April.

That's not correct. The earnings are taken into account in the assessment period that DWP receive the information from HMRC. It is in the UC Regs. What date that happens will be determined by what the employer puts on their FPS submission and what time the submission is sent by the employer.

True. I assumed the employer was reporting at the time of paying, because anything other than a few days' discrepancy (to account for weekends or anything else) would be really weird.
