You can still make the point in your defence that VCS are known to issue charges to drivers of cars that are on Airport Access Roads that are part of the public highway and/or not within the private land boundary authorised by the Airport owners.

Okay, hopefully last draft. I will sort the attachments after i'm happy with the content, (obviously I mean if you all think it may be okay). What are your thoughts on using DHL to deliver copies.

My first thought is... what is going to happen when DHL finds the Claimant's offices all locked up because everyone is working from home?

Okay, time for an update, sorry it is a bit late. I received the witness statement from the other side, late but in fairness post in my area has had severe problems. The upshot of the email was it was I believe a cut and paste and it did not make sense in parts and some of their points contained an extract from previous and stated cases but their points were just a duplicate of the mentioned case so the point was just repeated. The basic thrust of their statement was they were relying on POFA to make registered keeper liable. Obviously this occurred on relevant land and it was not a parking case. As the hearing approached I altered from very confident in my chances to convinced I would lose. At least it would be over and no longer hanging over my head.
I gave myself a talking to and set off to court. At the end of the day if I did lose it was not the end of the world. I have been through a lot worse things recently. I turned up at the front desk at court shortly before the appointed time to be told they had no in person cases listed for that day. I told them there must be a mistake as I had called to verify it was going ahead a couple of days ago. One of security took my details and went off to check. He returned, asked for me not to shoot the messenger and told me the case was stood out and relisted for a phone hearing in August. The letter and order arrived by post later it the day when I returned home.

This was on 27th January 2021.

Did it say why?  Any plausible reasons?  Was this at the behest of the court, or the claimant?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

What a waste of your time.

You need to get your phrases right though, you said in the above post 'Obviously this occurred on relevant land and it was not a parking case.'  You mean the opposite - it occurred on non-relevant land!  You need to get these things 100% right and be able to point the Judge to where the POFA explains it, because this is a niche area of law that a Judge is unlikely to be familiar with.
