in Credit cards
I recently finished a 5 year Debt management plan through stepchange. In all I had 8 creditors to repay, 3 of which were credit cards. All but one froze interest, Halifax credit card refused throughout the whole term to freeze or adjust interest. I know that they do not have to, but I ended paying over 21,000 on a 14,000 balance (some of this balance already being interest charges). I think is unfair on someone trying their hardest to recover from financial difficulty. I am in the process of formulating a complaint to Halifax. My question being can I recover some of this money?
