Cabot debt sold to Ruthbridge in 2012 then sold again in 2020

Options

ok so how do i start in approx 2001 / 2002 i had a bank loan and fell behind with payments in the first year due to sickness and that was it, i never heard anymore no CCJs not letters nothing until July 2012.When i received a letter from Cabot asking for payment which i ignored due to being status barred. Now a week went by and another letter arrived saying it had been passed to Ruthbridge and i sent the status barred letter and that was it no more until this week.I then received another letter from Cabot saying they have passed my debt again back to Ruthbridge and in that letter it now again wants payment. Do you think i need to send another status barred letter when one was sent 8 years ago to the same company about the same debt.
